Combining SEO and Google Ads increased visibility on Google and increased revenue on the tea trade webshop - this is how we increased Nordic Tea's online presence.

Targeted SEO and Google Ads strategy boosted tea trade revenue
Nordic Tea is a tea shop with its physical base in Hillerød and two webshops. With a strong network of the best suppliers in Europe, Nordic Tea can offer quality-conscious and discerning customers both classic and special teas from around the world. Not least, both the physical store and the webshop offer one of Denmark's largest selection of teas - from black, white, yellow and green tea to Oolong, Mathca and herbal teas - as well as carefully selected assortments of coffee, spices, accessories and treats.
Despite the impressive range, it is the customer service that is the absolute center of the business. Or as the owners, Charlotte and Jens Risom, put it: "Our staff and we have a constant focus on ensuring that all inquiries to Nordic Tea are answered quickly and professionally. We always have our customers in absolute focus and ensure that everyone has a good experience when they shop at Nordic Tea."

At the start of the partnership, Amplify's primary goal was to increase the business' online revenue while ensuring the owners the highest possible return on their advertising dollars and marketing budget.
In addition, our task was to advise on the choice of digital channels, as Nordic Tea at the time focused on two webshops with identical assortments; nordic-tea.dk and chinateahouse.eu. Our task was therefore also to analyze data from the two shops in order to project our marketing activities towards the most effective of the two shops.
In other words, the goal of the collaboration was to shoot with an elephant gun rather than a scattergun to generate more revenue for the same funds.

Solution model
First and foremost, we concentrated the digital marketing on the most effective of the owners' two webshops: nordic-tea.dk. This way, we could direct the target group towards the most lucrative sales platform and at the same time prevent the webshops from cannibalizing each other.
Once we had set the target for our marketing activities, our SEOand Google Ads departments got to work on keyword analysis, campaign setup and content production.
The Google Ads department focused on advertising in Google Search and display advertising, while the SEO department primarily focused on writing catchy category texts for Nordic Tea's many tea collections - partly to ensure that the webshop ranked higher on relevant searches in the organic results, but also to ensure higher quality results and lower click prices in Google Ads.
In this way, we created interaction between organic and paid marketing.
Drive revenue and the most effective ROAS in the lifetime of the account
The strategy boosted revenue and strengthened Nordic Tea's presence in both organic and paid search results. Visits to the shop exploded - and revenue followed suit.
Nordic Tea's Return of Ads Spend (ROAS) also increased significantly. In 2021, it increased from 4.62 to 6.67 - in the peak season from 4.8 to 8. With this, our Google Ads department can say with confidence that they have given Nordic Tea a run for its money.
Not only did Amplify boost revenue for Nordic Tea, we also ensured that the business increased their profitability.
